Inventory Barcode Counter

1. Overview

Inventory Barcode Counter is a local-first Android utility for physical inventory counting. Users create an inventory session, scan barcodes or QR codes, adjust quantities, and export the result as a CSV file.

The app does not require account registration, login, cloud sync, or a developer-operated inventory server.

2. Information processed by the app

Inventory sessions, scanned codes, optional item names or notes, quantities, first scan time, and last scan time are stored locally on the user's device.

Camera access is used only to scan barcodes and QR codes. Camera frames are processed for scanning and are not uploaded to our server.

CSV export files are created on the device. When the user chooses to share a CSV file, the selected Android share target controls the transfer.

3. Advertising and analytics

The app uses Google AdMob to show ads in non-blocking locations such as the home screen, item list, and after an export is completed. Ads are never shown before or during barcode scanning.

The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate feature usage, such as session creation, successful scans, quantity edits, CSV export success, and share actions.

Google services may collect device identifiers, advertising ID, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and other data according to Google's own policies.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Data may be processed by Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and service improvement.

CSV files are shared only when the user intentionally uses the Android share sheet.

5. Data retention and deletion

Inventory session data is stored on the device until the user deletes a session, deletes the app's data, or uninstalls the app.

We do not maintain a cloud copy of the user's scanned inventory data.

6. Children

The app is intended for general business and productivity use and is not directed to children.
